I've been out of golf for several years and recently decided to get back into it fully. I have limited space but wanted to have a nice mat / hitting area and to get an entry level (cost wise) launch monitor. After some research, I knew I was going to go with the Spornia Mat and 7' net, and as I dove into the LM research, chose the Rapsodo as what I expected to best meet my needs. I have been very pleased and all of my expectations have been surpassed. The net leaned a bit to the right often and I'd have to adjust it, but found that most of the issue was I didn't have the support straps tight enough. Now that I do, it will still lean periodically but resetting it is easy and far less than before. Knowing it is a flexible structure, some give is expected and it is well within that range. The mat is perfect. I went with the upgraded commercial mat and couldn't be happier. I had read that some people found it too soft and I disagree, it has the give that you would feel on grass and feedback to know if you've hit a shot fat or thin. The Rapsodo LM was definitely the right choice for me and I could go more in depth, but that would probably benefit a different review. If I were to purchase it all again looking at this price point I would absolutely pick this again. I think the quality and the value have been exceptional.
My husband is very happy with this gift. It was super easy to set up, fits in our garage, and returns the balls too.
The Spornia net is my go-to. Setup and takedown are easy and it stores nicely. I really love the extra blanket thats draped in the target zone. It absorbs the ball so much better than just a regular net. That in combination with the slope that allows for self return of balls makes me conclude that Spornia has made a very solid portable net.
The SPG-5 is a game-changer for home practice. I’ve tried using foam balls before, but there is simply no substitute for the feel of hitting a real golf ball into a high-quality net like this. It’s a fantastic training tool and feels very durable.
Easy setup. Excellent ball capture and return. Quality materials. One of those purchases where the product lines up well with the cost I.e. it is an exceptional value and something I would highly recommend.
The internal elastic string was snapped. The item arrived while on vacation, so by the time I got back and used it, the return period expired.
I bought mine years ago, but left it in the box because of some life things. Finally set it up about a month ago. It already has a huge rip in the back and one of the shank net ties came apart. I didn't even shank that many balls (I know what you're thinking, but I'm serious!). I'm sure it is out of warranty now because I bought it so long ago. I'm just very disappointed.
Recently I ordered replacement poles which the process was easy and expedient. I spoke with Jay who was very knowledgeable about my particular model.
The poles arrived less than a week after order. Thanks for the great service and support.
Good quality product that works well in securing the Extender Net. It comes in a package of 4 Sand Bags - suggest many of us would have preferred a package of 2 Sand Bags. I Recommend this product.
Awesome matt. So much nicer than my old mat. As advertised. Like hitting off a nice fairway. Wrist friendly.
Worth the money for sure. I live in Florida where the sun and rain are always here. It has held up great so far. Easy to put up and take down. The ball return feature is great and it has held up to hard iron and driver shots into it daily. Highly recommend.
I was pretty upset, I assumed weather cover meant all weather and that it was water resistant. So I put the cover on and left it outside, turns out it's not waterproof in the slightest. In fact it was more wet because everything else on my deck was dry but the weather cover was holding all the moisture in. After re-looking at the description, I don't see anywhere that it claims to be waterproof or water resistant so I guess I was just foolish to think that weather cover meant it protected it from the weather. Not sure what the purpose of this product is.
The target circle has made me a better Golfer !!
74 years old shot - 69 last week !!! Yes I did !!!
From the Gold Tees !!!
Convenient, easy setup, good price, good quality - would recommend to anyone looking for a golf net.
Ive got about 3K hits (including 40% driver) and no signs of weakening. The 7 foot is large enough to catch those pesky miss hits (and I was hit golf karts not too long ago) and the balls return works nearly everytime and appx 70% of them have enough momentum to roll back into the hitting mat. I highly recommend this net for anyone willing to spend a bit more to get a quality net that will last.
